About me
Hello! I’m Elizabeth, pronouns she/her. In 2023, I moved to Florence, MA with my wife and two daughters from Portland, OR . Shortly after, I received my postpartum doula certification from Warm Welcome Birth Services which was followed by training as a full-spectrum doula with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings. I was drawn to postpartum work by the dichotomy of joy and heartache I found in the family-building world when having my two donor-conceived children and the gap I felt during my own postpartum period. I have a passion for reproductive health, nutrition, family planning, and understanding how social and economic justice intersect with the different dimensions of well-being. Currently, I am studying health with the intention of becoming an educator, and believe in the importance of being receptive to changing perspectives and expanding ideas. I’ve had the joy of helping two families bring babies into the world through gestational surrogacy and feel hugely shaped by this. I hold a special place for surrogate and intended parent relationships. My experiences as a mother, surrogate, doula, and student are influential in my approach to supporting families and my community.
